Joshua Robinson

Joshua Mark Robinson was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. In 2002, he was the only applicant from Illinois that was accepted into The American Musical and Dramatic Arts Academy, a film school located in New York City.  After school, he spent several years traveling much of The United States and Europe.  Joshua began calling Paducah home in 2007.  A few years later he landed a role in a feature film that was being shot in the area.  Since that time he has appeared in several feature films, and short films.  In 2014, he was one of the producers for the film, Burning Kentucky, and with the generous help of many Paducah businesses and private donors was able to complete the film in 2018.  The film is currently being nominated for several awards in the Indie Film Festival circuit, and won Best Picture at The Mammouth Film Festival in California.  He and his wife, Vivian, participate in the 48 Hour Film Project every year that they can, and have just recently purchased a home in The Lowertown Arts District, where they will call home for many years to come.  They have three little girls and could not be happier to be raising them in this wonderful community.
