PADUCAH 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT KICKOFF WEEKEND (11th annual)

The Paducah 48 Hour Film Project will kickoff on Friday, August 9th at 6:00pm at Maiden Alley Cinema.  Teams are required to register in order to participate and can find out how HERE.

Filmmakers from all over the Paducah, KY area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2020 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2020 Short Film Corner.

Here's how it works:

1.  Find a city and register.

2.  Show up at the kickoff event on Friday.

3.  Draw a genre out of a hat.

4.  Find out what the required elements are:  prop, line of dialogue and character.

5.  Make a 4-7 minute film in 48 hours.

6.  Turn in your film on Sunday.

There are filmmaker rules, a few production documents and competition rules, but there are also prizes and you get to see your short film on the BIG screen at Maiden Alley Cinema the following weekend.
