After a small-town wrestling star develops a crush on an openly gay classmate, he is stalked by a grotesque creature that invades his thoughts as he navigates his feelings and struggles to live up to his legacy-obsessed family.

About the filmmakers:

Writer Colby Holt was born and raised in Paducah-- he co-directed the film with his husband Sam Probst who he considers an honorary Paducahan. They decided to shoot the film entirely in Paducah because of Kentucky's attractive Film Tax Credit program. The production initially almost shot in Georgia, but Holt wanted to bring the film here to contribute to the local economy. You'll recognize many familiar local shooting locations. Paducah's own Creatures Of Habit created every costume for the film, with Jack & Natalya Cody serving as Costume Department Heads. They also felt Paducah served as a perfect setting for the Southern Gothic tone, with its historic architecture and lush summer landscape. The film was shot over 19 days in June/July of 2022. Colby & Sam live in Chicago with their cat Agadore Spartacus.
