Overlooking Broadway and the Ohio River Since 2001, the Maiden Alley Cinema marquee has illuminated Paducah’s Main Street. Both the marquee as well as the iconic pink neon Maiden Alley Cinema signage are often utilized as engaging backgrounds for all types of needs, including portrait, prom, and wedding photos. MAC has a $10,000 goal to replace the facing of the marquee, transition to LED bulbs, replace letters, replenish the pink neon in the alley, and additional upgrades to our aging cinema. Over the past 22 years, Maiden Alley Cinema has become an integral part of the cultural tapestry in downtown Paducah, and our members have always played a starring role in this effort. As a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, MAC relies greatly on the support of our friends. Unlike traditional movie theaters, as a nonprofit arthouse, our regular box office income only provides 45% of our annual operating expenses. This is why our annual fundraising event, tax deductible donations, and membership program are so crucial.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, an estimated 3,000 theaters have closed nationwide. Post-pandemic, 25% of surviving theaters are expected to close their doors within the next decade. By supporting Maiden Alley Cinema, you can make sure that does not happen in your community.
